5 projects from 1 kit with Amy Prior

Hi everyone! Amy Prior here today and I am so excited to be guest designing for Polly! This month. I received the fabulous April Polly! Kit last week and have been having so much fun playing along with it. I managed to get 4 scrapbook pages and 1 card out of the kit by simply adding 4.5 sheets of plain card stock.

My first layout I have to share is titled On this Day and here I have started off with a plain piece of Kraft cardstock that I have masked using a Crafter’s Workshop stencil and some Viva Décor Inka Golds in Blue & Pink.

I have then cut random bits of the patterned papers from the Polly Kit and have added a bit more of the girlie pinks and blue by adding the Inka Gold to the edges of all these pieces of paper too. The coordinating tag from the kit was also perfect to use in my layering on this layout.

I have also added some Inka Gold in the pinks and blues to the grey Thickers that came with this kit to make them a little more girlie. Lastly I have added some gorgeous stickers from the April Kit along with an added Scrappers Garden Flower and I was super happy with how this girlie layout turned out.

My next layout is a complete opposite of the first. This time a very masculine layout with a photo of my husband and his new but old car. Here I have started off with a plain piece of white cardstock in my background and this time I have added some circles cut from one of the papers in the kit as my base for the background.

When the circles were adhered, I have then added some Inka Gold to my background using a fabulous burst stencil from Crafters Workshop randomly over the page. I have then added some random stamping using the exclusive Polly stamps from the April Kit and some Black & Brown Archival Ink.

I have then grabbed some spare pieces of scrap paper leftover from the 1st layout and I have inked the edges using the brown Archival Ink then layered together. I have also added lots of the awesome stickers, cork embellishments and wood veneer bits to this layout and each one has also been inked on the edges before adhering. The final touch was one of the gorgeous Flair Buttons and a little bit of twine!

This next layout was very fun and features a recent photo of myself and a couple of local scrappy friends who I got to scrap with recently.

This layout came together very quickly. My background paper I have started with was plain Kraft cardstock which I have masked using a Prima Stencil and some Brown Archival Ink using a Blending Tool.

I have then cut up a tonne of little tiny flags and pieces of the patterned paper for Photo matting which I have then inked the edges of every single piece using the Brown Archival Ink. Even a couple of stickers were added that were also inked on the edges.
The last layout that I have created was literally a throw together using every little scrap I had left over from the Polly April Kit.

There were a lot of food related stickers etc in this kit so I found this photo of my girls and a friend eating homemade pizza and decided they were perfect to use with my leftovers. Firstly I have started with a plain piece of white cardstock that I have masked using some Arhival Inks and various Crafters Workshop stencils.

I have then continued to ink the edges of every piece of paper that I was left with including a couple of stickers I wanted to use and then have adhered everything down to create a still very layered look. Majority of these pieces were so small that they are have been cut in half and matted only a mm under the photo to make it appear to be a whole piece matted underneath.
Lastly I also made a card with this kit and this card is a simple thanks card that could definitely be used for either a female or male friend.

This card was made using a plain piece of Kraft Cardstock that was cut and folded to size. I have then simply layered a few pieces of the gorgeous April Polly Kit papers that were distressed and inked followed by some of the gorgeous Foam Thickers that came in the kit and a cute little Cork embellishment.

Well that is it, 5 projects with tonnes and tonnes of layers on each and all out of a single kit for $37.95 and I still have tonnes of stickers and Alphabets left as well as the gorgeous stamp set that I can use time and time again. Quick head on over to the website and buy one today, you won’t regret it!

Thanks so much for having me to Ruth and the Polly team and until next time, happy scrapping!
