Project life with the Jan kits...
19:10
Hi :) I'm back with another week of my project life album, created using bits and pieces from the January Kits.
I still had plenty of products left over from the Candy Hearts Pocket Life kit
and used these to document the end of January.
It was back to school week and it felt a bit strange to only have one child at school this year after my eldest son completed year 12 last year. I used a mix of patterned papers to create a base for my photos and repeated some of the same patterns in a few of the pockets to help tie the page in together.
I ran out of journal cards from the kit but using a piece of vellum over more patterned paper was an easy solution. I cut the vellum slightly longer than my pocket so I could wrap it around my card and secure it in the back to avoid adhesive showing through.
Moving onto the second part of the week, I have used the lovely Hand Lettered Hello stamps and die from the store to create a custom filler card. I die-cut the word from gold foil card stock and used gold embossing powder for the stamped words.
This month's sketch challenge inspired me to use a few blocks of patterned paper to form a background for some of my photos and loved that it allowed me to use up all those left over bits of paper I couldn't bear to part with.
I have loved using this kit and would love to see how you have used yours too so feel free to leave a link :)

looks Awesome Agnus. love your idea with wrapping the vellum around. very clever, i might have to steal that one.
ReplyDeleteThank you Cindy, it's so much easier than trying to hide the adhesive when securing it to the front ;)
