Scrappy Canary: Pocket Life Layout

Documenting Christmas, Dec 12-15 - with Karyn!

Hi Scrappy Canary lovelies!!

It's Karyn here today sharing more pages of my "Schultz Christmas 2015" Documenting December Album (for December 12-15) made using the Document December kit from Scrappy Canary.

Here is a close up of the LHS. I love the red & cream colours with a splash of gold!

The woodgrain paper is some of my favourite as are the gold numbers and stars! Rachael has a photo wall in her room - the elves joined in and took a selfie on her instax!

The diecuts from the Shimelle ephemera pack in the kit are so fun!

Here is a close up of the RHS.

Our elves spent the day in our fridge - was way too hot for them!

I've done lots of layering on this card.

Document December

Documenting Christmas, Dec 4-7 - with Karyn!

It's Karyn here today today sharing more pages of my "Schultz Christmas 2015" Documenting December Album (for December 4-7) made using the Document December kit from Scrappy Canary.

Here is a close up of the LHS.The larger 6x4 cards are cut from the paper pad. I like making my own cards this way - a great way to use up all of the paper I seem to "need"!

When you cut down a piece of 6x6 paper there is a 2x6 strip left - I like to join 2 together to make another card - no waste :) I've also used some of the star stickers, the gold twine and a wood veneer from the kit. Our elves were cheeky this day and playing in my jewellery collection!

There are a few gold foil words in the kit - just beautiful, I wish there were more!

It has been incredibly hot here this summer so slip-n-slide fun is a must!

Here is a close up of the RHS.

I've used more of the diecuts and wood veneer on these cards - this train is cute, as were our elves making a shoe train!

Most of my journalling has been hand written, it is quicker and I prefer the look for my DD.

Documenting Life - Week 46 With Karyn!

It's Karyn here today sharing Week 46 of my "Schultz Family 2015" Project Life Album. This was a busy week in the lead up to the end of school year and I had lots of photos!

This week I've used the Nov/Dec Pocket Life kit Jessica from Scrappy Canary.

Here is a close up of the LHS. The papers and embellishments in this kit are a mix of subtle and bold with a splash of gold!

When we went out for dinner we had this amazing (and large) dessert - eating out is all about dessert isn't it!?! I cut these labels from a sheet of the patterned paper, they are perfect for adding journalling to your cards!

I was lucky enough to be able to attend Finnabair's "overemotional" class at Seriously Scrapbooking in Adelaide, so much amazing inspiration from Anna and all the other lovely ladies at the class :)

Here is a close up of the RHS. I've printed my journalling for the week directly onto a piece of the patterned paper, and used some of the fun circle alphas as a title.

The patterned paper has lots of elements that can be fussy cut to add extra detail to your cards - and a paperclip is always a fun addition to a card. The "xoxo" stamp is the roller stamp from the Leila SB kit . I'm a roller stamp junkie and have at least 20 of them!!

The photos here were taken when Rachael had a day home from school with conjunctivitis - she was so bored she dressed up in her life jacket and practiced the piano!!

I've used lots of the Pink Paislee clear accent stickers from the kit on the cards and photos.

All of my photos have been printed on an Epson XP-600.

October 2015 Pocket Life Kit Santa Monica

Documenting Life - Week 42 and 43 With Karyn!

It's Karyn here today sharing Week 42 and 43 for my "Schultz Family 2015" Project Life Album. I didn't have many photos for these weeks, and I've been madly trying to catch up on my PL before I start to document Christmas, so I did a week to a page here.

This week I've used the final bits and pieces of my October pocket life kit Santa Monica from Scrappy Canary as well as some paper from the Venice Beach scrapbook kit (also in the paper add on kit), and some other bits and bobs.

Here is a close up of the LHS. I've used some of the Pinkfresh acetate cards from the kit for this page.

I've kept this card simple with some leftover paper offcuts from the paper pad, and I printed my journalling directly on the grid card from the kit.

I used an acetate card over a white card and some of the washi strips from the kit.

Here is a close up of the RHS.

I made some feathers with the washi strips in the kit. They are quick and easy to make by just folding the washi back on itself then cutting into an approx leaf/feather shape then adding a few snips on the sides.

All of my photos have been printed on an Epson XP-600.

October 2015 Pocket Life Kit Santa Monica

Documenting Life - Week 41 With Karyn!

It's Karyn here today today sharing Week 41 for my "Schultz Family 2015" Project Life Album. This week was the second week of mid semester school holidays for us.

This week I've used the last of my October pocket life kit Santa Monica from Scrappy Canary as well as some paper from the Venice Beach scrapbook kit (also in the paper add on kit).

Here is a close up of the LHS. Some of these cards were cut from a sheet of paper from the Venice Beach scrapbook kit - I love these quotes! I used my Fuse to change the pockets on this page from 6x6 to 3x3.

All these cards needed was a few puffy stickers, enamel dots and wood veneer.

Jessica loved sharing her pony with her friend. It was so much fun to ride double :)

Here is a close up of the RHS. Again, I used my Fuse to customise the pockets on this page.

Rachael always carries a purse and phone wherever she goes. Jessica found an old phone and had to do the same - bless her :)

I took this photo of Jessica while she was waiting for her friend to arrive for a play date - watching out the window for their car to arrive. Waiting is so hard for 7 year olds!

All of my photos have been printed on an Epson XP-600.

October 2015 Pocket Life Kit Santa Monica

Documenting Life - Week 40 With Karyn!

It's Karyn here today today sharing Week 40 part 2 for my "Schultz Family 2015" Project Life Album. It was a school holiday week this week and I took lots of photos so I decided to do 4 pages for the week instead of the usual 2.

This week I've continued to use the October pocket life kit Santa Monica from Scrappy Canary ! This kit is awesome, I just love the colours and all the elements in it.

Here is a close up of the LHS. I've used a combination of die cut cards, acetate cards and patterned papers from the kit.

I cut the "so pretty" die cut card in half so it would fit across two 3"x4" pockets. Then I added some patterned paper behind the die cut, some washi, a fussy cut camera and enamel dots.

I've used more patterned papers here - I always look through the papers to find elements that can be fussy cut, and I always find a use for the little strips at the top!

Here is a close up of the RHS. As well as using the patterned paper to make cards I cut up a sheet of the paper (full of 3x3 cards) from the Venice Beach scrapbook kit (also in the paper add on kit).

The papers are perfect for my photos - can you believe Jessica in this one :)

Washi and puffy stickers are always a hit with me. I've added them to a project life grid card to 3"x3" size here.

All of my photos have been printed on an Epson XP-600.

October 2015 Pocket Life Kit Santa Monica

Documenting Life - Week 40 With Karyn!

It's Karyn here today today sharing Week 40 of my "Schultz Family 2015" Project Life Album.

This week I was so excited to be able to use the October pocket life kit Santa Monica from Scrappy Canary ! I'm so glad these kits are back. I really found it hard to keep up with my PL without them. Yes, I do have lots (and lots) of craft supplies, but I love that with a kit you have a coordinated and constrained set of products to work with - makes the creative process much quicker!!

Here is a close up of the LHS. How cool are the products and colours in this kit! I cut up some of the patterned paper from the kit to fit as cards and I also cut up a sheet of the paper (full of 3x3 cards) from the Venice Beach scrapbook kit (you could also find it in the paper add-on kit). When I have lots of photos I like to work with these 3x3 square pockets. I used my Fuse to convert 6x6 pockets.

I love the washi pages in the kit and the puffy stickers are divine! I could use a whole packet on one page - I have to try and pace myself so they last 2-3 weeks.

One of the pages of patterned paper had these cameras - so I fussy cut some out to include on this card.

Here is a close up of the RHS. On this page I used some of the die cut cards in the kit so COOL!

I backed this die cut card with some silver glitter paper - perfect!!

More puffy stickers and enamel dots here!

All of my photos have been printed on an Epson XP-600.

June Bon-Voyage Pocket Life Kit

Documenting Life - Week 24 With Karyn!

It's Karyn here today today sharing Week 24 for my "Schultz Family 2015" Project Life Album. I've used lots of goodies from the June Pocket Life Kit - Bon Voyage from Scrappy Canary

Here is a close up of the LHS. I didnt have as many photos this week so I could be creative and use more of the fabulous cards in the kit!

This card was made with strips of patterned paper, a cut down tag, stickers and movie tickets!

The Pink Paislee tags from the kit are so sweet that they dont need much more embellishing - I just added some enamel shapes.

Here is a close up of the RHS.

I accented some cards and tags with a few additional elements to make them more relevant to everyday life (compared to travel related) - love these alphas!.
