Happy Easter!

17:59

Firstly I would like to wish all the lovely Polly! followers & customers a very Happy Easter!
I hope wherever you are and whatever you are doing, that you are having a good time with family and friends.

I had some time last night after a crazy week of studying to sit down and create a page using the March - Shoreline kit (which sold out within an hour...thanks guys!)
There are still mini kits available in the store...which you can find here.

I started this page after being totally inspired by a quote that I found on Pinterest. It fit perfectly with this months kit (which had 2 anchor papers and some anchor themed embellishments)
"You be the anchor that keeps my feet on the ground and I will be the wings that keep your heart in the clouds."

I am lucky enough to own a Silhouette Cameo which is what I created this title with using the designer edition. I love that I can cut 12x12 sheets using the machine. Definitely the best scrappy purchase I have made yet!
I have create this cut file to share with those that have this machine.
You can find it to download here.

I combined both alphabets to create the title here "love you, my anchor". The smile word is also a cut from the Silhouette Cameo. I used one of the Amy Tangerine pegs that came with the  kit on the corner of this photo which helped keep the twine in place and also gave the photo a 3D dimension. I added photo pop dots on each of the other corners of the photo to keep it raised.

You can also see some dimension from a mask which I painted through with some gesso. This is my favourite technique at the moment. The mask I used was the chevron mask from the recent Studio Calico release. You can find it in the Polly! shop here. I also used some black chalkboard glimmer mist and splattered some 'dots'.
