Bright Skies Project life kit

Bernadette here today to share with you my project life pages using the newly released Bright Skies Project life kit which I see is still available to purchase if you follow the link..
Can I just say how much I LOVED working with this kit. The bright colours and exclusive flair and stamps had me hook, line and sinker! Kayla certainly has done a fab job at selecting elements that all work together so well. I also loved the fact that the paper is double sided so I really did have a lot of choice when it came to putting the layout altogether.
I also added very few items from my stash including velum, which seems to be really making a comeback. I used velum twice on my layout. Once to create a little "pocket" for one the insta frames in the kit so that I could fill it with the cute star sequins that were added in with the kit.
I also wanted to tone down one of the background floral papers from the kit, as I was feeling it was taking away from the photo and was really bright. So I simply cut a smaller piece of velum and stitched it with my sewing machine directly to the paper. It made a huge difference and I love the extra interest element it adds.
If you have some old velum lying about dig it out and use it :)
