June Kit Pocket Pages with Lauren

20:36

Hello Scrappy Canary Cuties! I hope that you are all having a great week and a happy hump day – Wednesday already! Today I am taking you through my take on the June Project Life Kit – Tea & Toast. I loved working with this kit – so much so that I have just worked only with this kit for this layout. The colours are awesome and really suited my photos for the week!

One of the things that I love doing with my kits is created embellishments using the papers and pocket scrapbooking cards. You can see on my title card for example that I cut down the insta-photo card to use to stamp the week on and make it the focal point for the embellishments, I then used the excess pink from the card to edge the card. I also really like to be consistent with my embellishments across my layouts, so I used the gorgeous washi across the page, along with the pink viewmaster slides that I popped off the page used foam dots.

I love love loved the Jillibean Soup Mini placemat die-cuts, I really wanted to make it pop though, so I mounted it on one of the 3×4 cards and then outlined it in black fine liner. I really feel like it adds something to the layout and also the purpose of why we Project Life, to record the stories of our lives – from the big occasions like buying a new house, to cooking dinner, to eating pizza and laughing with friends.
One of the best things about our kits are the exclusive embellishments and this month Ruth really hit it out of the park! Wilna acrylics – shut the front door!!! So amazing and super cute! Who knows what fun exclusives we will have in the coming months.
Anyway, we’d love to see what you are creating with the June kits – head on over to the Scrappy Canary VIP Lounge on Facebook, join in the fun and share your creations! I’ll be back on Sunday with a layout using the embellishment kit and the pancakes and maple add-on so I will see you all then! Stay crafty, Lauren xx
