Real Life Crafty Friend

09:00

Hi there Canaries!

It's Linda here and today I'm sharing a layout I made using the September Scrapbook Kit: Penny Lane.

I wanted something with a lot of details, but that still came together as a fairly simple, clean whole (if you know what I mean)

I hadn't added the journalling for this yet, because I'm still thinking about what I want to say on the layout. I'll add it in later.

I wanted to document this day where a good friend of mine Michelle (who works with me on A Blog Named Hero), came to visit me, before we left Melbourne, to return to Perth permanently.

Michelle is the first 'real life' crafty friend I've made. I've never known another crafter in person before and she's one of my favourite people, she's such a sweetheart, so lovely, and SO talented!

Here are a couple of closeups for you;

I recently purchased a little hand-held sewing machine. It's noisy as all GET OUT but it does the trick...as long as you don't look too closely at my sewing lol

layers layers and more layers

a few layers for the bottom too, but I left these less 'filled' so the layout still felt balanced.

When all else fails, title the layout exactly what it is.

I love adding a few little details in the top corner to finish off that visual triangle :)

That's it for me loves!

Don't forget theres a new range of kits for October just been released--get in quick so you don't miss out!

See you again soon!
