Lauren's 'Note to Self' - Week 43

09:00

Happy Monday Canaries!

Lauren here! I hope that you all had an amazing weekend - I was lucky enough to get the November Kits on Friday so I have had a chance to play and whip up my Week 43 layout! Can you believe that it is November already? 2014 has flown!

The November Pocket Life Kit 'Note to Self' is so cool - the colours are fun! Get in quick to the Scrappy Canary store and pick one up - there are only a couple left so buy one ASAP - the funnest and the best value kits in Australia (and probably the world)!

I loved working on to create my Week 43 spread! I loved the Echo Park Creative Agenda paper - my favourite thing was the pie chart paper which was the perfect filler card!

The pie chart was a great way to document all of the fun that I had during the week! What an awesome week - craft, yoga, workshops, reiki, meditation! Love it! I also loved using the Teresa Collins stickers - both the black and white tidbits, the alphas and the words - they were great elements to add consistency across the layout!

How awesome is the stamp included in the kit!! By the way, this awesome stamp was designed by the owner of Scrappy Canary, Manda Moore! How good is it? I used it on my title card for Week 43. It is the kind of stamp that you will be able to use week in and week out on every Pocket Life spread!

I am sure that those of you who know me will be able to guess what my favourite thing in the 'Note to Self' Pocket Life kit was the EXCLUSIVE AMY TANGERINE ACRYLICS!!! I had to use capitals because I was so excited about them! EXCLUSIVE!!! I can't wait to see how you use them in your spreads!

One of my favourite things we do every month at Scrappy Canary are our monthly Sketch Challenges! Have you had a chance to work with the November sketch yet?

The beauty of sketches is that you can put your own interpretations on it. For more information on how to enter the November sketch challenge visit here!

Often people think that sketches can only be limited to traditional layouts, but below you can see my take on the sketch, which I incorporated into my Pocket Life spread.

The Evalicious Photo Shoot journalling cards were great to work with, so I incorporated it into the card. One of the things that are great to use in the spreads are the glassine bags that the embellishments come in - I used mine to layer underneath the journalling card to add an extra dimension.

So there you have it lovely Canaries, my take on Week 43! I'll be back soon showing my preparation for documenting my December using the Scrappy Canary Document December Kit - this is kit is jam packed with amazing goodies and if you are lucky you can still grab one in the store! I'll be showing my spreads everyday during December so you can be part of the journey with me - it's my first time doing a separate December album so we can work on them together!

Have a great week and I will be back soon! Lauren, xxx.
