Hello Canaries! Today I'm sharing a layout using the May "Sweet Treat" Scrapbook Kit. It's an 8.5"x11" layout oriented horizontally. I took one of the patterned papers and cut apart the square that said "Life is..." and then added one of the chipboard pieces to create my title.
I used the gold glitter chipboard hearts and foam glitter hearts around my page, as well as some of the puffy stickers I had leftover from last month's kit.
I added a manila tag, a label and some twine from my stash and machine stitched for some added texture.
Thanks for joining me and don't forget to check out all the new goodies in the Scrappy Canary Store and to use the code LOUISE10 for 10% off your purchase :-)

Hello Canaries! Today I'm sharing a layout using the May "Sweet Treat" Scrapbook Kit. I had this photo of my boys sitting by the river and it was full of autumn colours. This month's kit has some gold, kraft, orange, red and green in it so I pulled out all the supplies that I thought would suit. As is usual for me, this layout is 8.5"x11".
I combined the foam glitter "hello" with the gold foil Thickers to create my title.
I used a die to create a tab from red patterned paper in the kit.
I scattered some hearts around the page as well as sequins from my stash.
Some flicks of black ink tied in the black print on some of the chipboard pieces.

Hi Canaries! It's Louise again with another page I made using the March "Playful" Scrapbook Kit. It's another 8.5' x 11" page, but it is oriented horizontally this time. I started with a base of watercolour paper and added texture paste through a stencil, followed with slashes of watered down Distress Inks and gold Heidi Swapp Colour Shine which is available from Scrappy Canary. My two photos are tied together with one of the 6" x 4" overlays.
I created a cluster from the gold-foil die-cuts in the kit and some of the washi tape and attached them together with one of the gold paperclips.
I made another small cluster on the opposite side to make a spot for the date.
Here's another look at that yummy texture on my background....
Don't be afraid to use watercolour paper as the base for your layouts- it will take almost anything you can throw at it!
I fussy-cut some of the elements from the patterned paper to create my own embellishments- I love to do that and it makes really good use of paper scraps.
I added the darling wooden dots to my fussy-cut flowers.
I layered my photo on top some of the tissue paper that comes in the pack of overlays and placed one of the gold overlays on top of my photo.
This page was so much fun to create- I am loving using products that I never would have picked out myself :-)
Hello Canaries! I'm back with another layout share from my March "Playful" Scrapbooking Kit. I used mostly the Amy Tangerine products included in the kit to create this 8.5"x11" layout featuring four photos of my boys.
I pinched a manila tag and some twine from my stash and as usual, machine stitching, sequins and ink splats were the finishing touches.
I hope you're having as much fun with this kit as I am!
Hello Canaries! I hope you all had a lovely Easter break. I got my March Scrapbook Kit yesterday and couldn't wait to rip it open and get busy. It was a miserable wet day and it was also my birthday, so conditions were perfect for some scrapbooking ;-)
I have again used my favourite 8.5"x11" format but this time I have orientated my layout horizontally.
I typed my journalling and cut it into strips to add to my vertically placed embellishments.
Here is a close-up of those diamond shapes I cut out of my background paper.
The letter stickers I used to create my "First Day" title were from my stash but I could have easily written with a pen instead.
I can't wait to use more of this kit- the colours are so vibrant and fun!
I have again used my favourite 8.5"x11" format but this time I have orientated my layout horizontally.
I was immediately drawn to the gorgeous papers from Pinkfresh Studio and the co-ordinating die-cut pack with it's lovely gold foil accents. I chose my background paper but didn't want to cover up the lovely diamond-shaped "raindrops" so before adhering my photos I cut them out of the background so I could add them back on top of my photos as embellishments.

I'm back with another layout share using the February "Brave" Scrapbook Kit and the "Fierce" Embellishment Kit. It's another 8.5"x11" layout but I decided to put everything on an angle instead of straight up and down as I would normally with a design like this. I went for a simple colour palette of mint, black and white/cream.
Once again, I busted out the frames from the kit and added some patterned paper to the back and a feather sticker on top.
I used the Thickers in the kit for my title and stitched them to my photo to cover up the ugly backgound.
I matted one of the label stickers on a scrap piece of the green paper and notched it to match the sticker.
Some machine stitching and ink splats finished this simple layout nicely!
See you again soon and happy scrapping!

Hi Canaries! I'm back with another layout share using the February "Brave" Scrapbook Kit and the "Fierce" Embellishment Kit.
I love how this layout turned out- I love the scripty font on the gold rub-on title "Happy Day" and I highlighted it with some watercolouring on my background.
The gold foil polka dot paper is just gorgeous and I used little bits of gold throughout my page to complement the paper and the title. Isn't that dream-catcher sticker sweet?
I used more of the rub-ons to create this cluster and again, lightly watercoloured over it- the rub-ons resist the paint ;-)
I love these feather die-cuts so I created another cluster using those and some stickers from the sticker sheet.
See you again soon and happy scrapping!

Hi everyone! I'm back with another layout share using the "Brave" Scrapbook Kit and the "Fierce" Embellishment Kit. I really enjoyed using the little frames to create three clusters on my page- one for my photo, one for my title and one for embellishments.
I used a combination of the Thickers and the die-cut "Happy" word to create my title within the frame.
The flair in the kit was the perfect size for this striped frame and I used a couple of arrow stickers to draw attention to it.
I am loving this kit and will be back soon with another share.
Happy scrapping,
Louise x
I'm back with a layout share using the "Brave" February Scrapbook Kit and the March Sketch for inspiration.
I love to design layouts using a grid design and I took a very simplistic approach for this page.
I love the gold foil elements on the patterned papers and I added some gold alphas from my stash to match.
This page came together very quickly and I love the clean, symmetrical design. Be sure to play along with the March Sketch for your chance to win a $10 Voucher to spend in the Scrappy Canary Store.
