Announcing the new Polly! Design Team

17:29

Before I talk about the new team, I wanted to thank the 2013 Polly team, who are amazingly talented and have been so supportive. You will see some have asked to stay here for 2014, and I feel very grateful to have them here, but some are moving on to new things and I know that these girls will be doing great stuff where-ever they go. You can still find them on the DT page till the end of the year, so hop over there and make sure you follow their personal blogs so you dont miss them in the new year. It is what I plan to do!

I had a lot of amazing applicants and it was a tough decision, but I am very excited about working with these women, and I think you will love them! Please join me in welcoming both the continuing and new members of the Polly DT.

Here is the Polly! team from January, 2014.

Ruth Bonser
Owner
Hi, I'm Ruth. I'm a Mum, an IT nerd and I love Scrapbooking. I live in Sydney, Australia with my husband and 2 kids. I love sketches and bright happy colours. I love both pocket and my traditional layouts, occasional mini albums and even a little bit of hybrid scrapbooking. I pretty much will put my hand to anything, plus I sometimes use pink on pages about my son. I think scrapbooking needs to be fun and fulfilling and try not to let anything get in the way of that.

Sandra Bunch
Social Media Manager
Well, hello! I'm Sandra - a lover, mother, dreamer, memory maker and memory keeper! I live in Brisbane, Australia, with my 3 divine kids and loving, quirky husband. By day I’m a software engineer, by night I help my husband with his IT business, but scrapbooking ignites a fire in me that is unrivalled by anything else. I’ve been scrapping for 6 years, including traditional, hybrid & pocket page (Project Life) scrapbooking, mixed media, off-the-page and cardmaking. More recently I’ve started designing digi kits and printables. I can’t say I have a particular “style” as I love to experiment with them all. My focus remains on telling the stories of my life - big and small. The fact that I get to express and share those stories through a variety of mediums these days, makes my heart sing!

Renae Finlayson
Project Life Designer
Hey guys, my name is Renae, but I much prefer to be called Nae! I live on the sunny Gold Coast with my boyfriend and our beautiful two little bundles of cuteness, Mini and Bella. You will get to know them all very well in my layouts as they are pretty much my life! Im 28 and just getting back into scrapping after a three year hiatus while living in Japan and teaching English. Before that, I had been scrapbooking for a bit over 7 years.
Coming back to scrapbooking, I discovered the fun and challenge of working with Project Life pages, over traditional scrapbook layouts. I love how PL allows you to capture every small event in your life, the ones that sometimes aren’t worthy of a full 12x12 layout but still deserve their place to be documented.
I am an embellishment fiend with a craving for bright colours and a need to hand journal and doodle on every layout. I'm so excited to create and help inspire all the fabulous members of the Polly! Family.
xoxo

Carol Fry
Blog Coordinator
Hi there!  My name is Carol.  I live in Melbourne, Australia with my perfect-for-me hubby and our dogs.  Brad and I have been married for eleven years.  They’ve been filled with ups, downs and a whole lot of crazy.  In my day job I’m part of the HR team for a major retailer.  It’s hard work, but I love it!  I began scrapbooking 12x12 layouts 11 years ago after friends visiting me in hospital brought me a stack of magazines.  Tucked in the pile was a copy of Creating Keepsakes – I was hooked and have been crafting ever since, just recently indulging in Project Life – the process and the products!  I am so excited to be a part of the Polly! team, and thrilled that through it I have the opportunity to meet you!

Kayla Renee MacAulay
Scrapbook Designer
Hi I'm Kayla, I live on the North West Coast of Tasmania in a small village called Forth.
I own a little Beaglier called Louie and he sure is a bundle of fun! Since I have no kids (yet!) he is the baby and features in a lot of my scrapbooking.

I am currently at University studying a bachelor of education to be a primary teacher one day. It was a bit of a career change after starting a chef apprenticeship but it is definitely the career for me.
As far as scrapping, I am lucky to have written articles for and been published in Australian scrapbooking magazines and have worked on numerous online and in store design teams. All of these opportunities have taught me so much, not just about scrapbooking but about life and have met many great ladies that I am proud to call friends.

Bernii Miller
Project Life Designer
Hi there! My name is Bernadette, but people have called me Bernii for short for as long as I can remember. I am a blessed mother to two little cherubs, Abigail (5) and Hunter (2). I started scrapbooking about 12 years ago, but it has been on and off over the last few years. I do not have any definite "style" in my scrapping, but LOVE it when I can paint, mist, stitch and use textured elements as much as I can, and love that Project life allows me to dabble in these areas and get my "scrapbooking" fix.

Manda Moore
Scrapbook Designer
I'm Manda, a graphic designer living in a small country town in Victoria, Australia. I'm the Creative Director of Life.Paper.Scrapbook. “http://www.lifepaperscrapbook.com/” a free online magazine that is published quarterly, a project I started to share my love of scrapbooking with other designers from around the world.  I have always loved art and craft and have been making a crafty mess of paper, glue, paint, glitter and anything else I can use as long as I can remember! When I'm not creating something with paper and glue I love to cook, take photos, travel and spend time with my two kitties, Harry & Winston. You can find my at my blog Mandalika Designs, Facebook page or on Instagram

Project Life Designer
I'm Kate, from Melbourne, and am currently a stay at home mum to 3 very active boys (7,5 & 1). Our lives are busy, full, squashed (5 of us in a tiny house!) & colourful, so my photos & Project Life spread seem to follow this trend too! My first love has always been stamping, when I was introduced to it by a friend about 7 years ago. I started as a card maker & through the powers of the internet, discovered many, many online stores & groups & passions! I discovered and dabbled in Project Life in 2012, and in 2013 a tackled this project for the first time. I have loved documenting our year & can't wait to continue our albums for next year. I love coffee, reading, going to the movies (which is not nearly frequently enough!) & spend way too much time on Facebook. I'm looking forward to sharing my Project LIfe journey next year with fellow Polly! fans - you can come for a visit into our slightly crazy life at www.fiveateleven.com
